Mariel Spengler

Mariel Spengler is the parent of a young adult son who has complex congenital heart disease.  For the last 10 years, Mariel has worked with the Department of Family-Centered Care at Stanford Children’s Health, where she coordinates the Department’s 10 family advisory councils. She is also a member of Patient Safety and QI committees in the Heart Center and is a parent mentor who works with parents whose children are cared for in the hospital’s heart transplant program. Marial is a member of several research teams in The Collaboratory.
